How to Generate a new ecryption key from BlackBerry Enterprise Server

ow to Generate a new ecryption key from BlackBerry Enterprise Server version 4.0 for Microsoft® Exchange :
1. Connect the BlackBerry device to BES.
2. Run BlackBerry Manager.
3. Right-click and choose Properties from the menu.
4. Click the Port tab > USB.

OR

To find the BlackBerry device connection automatically, click Detect.
5. Click OK in the dialog box.

A new window appears notifying you that the BlackBerry device has been found. It also displays the BlackBerry device user’s personal identification number (PIN).

6. Click OK.
7. Select the BlackBerry device user’s account.
8. Right-click and select Properties.
9. Security tab > Generate keys manually.
10.Generate and move the mouse around.
11.Click Apply to change the Status from Pending update to Up to date, then click OK.


How to Generate a new ecryption key from BlackBerry Enterprise Server version 4.1 and later


1. Connect the BlackBerry device to BES.
2. Run BlackBerry Manager.
3. Select Local Ports (Device Management).
4. Choose the Server Name and select the Users tab.
5. Choose the user that you would like to assign the BlackBerry device to.
6. Expand the Device Management menu.
7. Assign Device.
8. Select the connected BlackBerry device > Ok.
